How to set commission in the Multivendor Marketplace App for Shopify?

Dropping below the different Commissions you can add on the Shopify Multivendor Marketplace app:

(In the sequence of highest to lowest priority)

• Membership wise Commission
• Variant wise Commission
• Product-wise Commission
• Collection/Category wise Commission
• Seller wise Commission
• Global Commission

Have a look at four different Commission Types:

1. Percent % Commission- A percentage amount will be deducted from the base price of the product.
2. Fixed Commission- A fixed amount will be deducted from the base price.
3. Fixed + Percentage % Commission-  First a fixed amount will be deducted from the base price and then the percentage amount will be deducted from the remaining price.
4. Percentage % + Fixed Commission- First the percentage amount will be deducted from the base price of the product and then a fixed amount will be deducted from the remaining amount.

Let's see how you can add these Commissions one at a time-

Membership wise Commission:

[Percentage % Commission]

This commission has the highest priority among any other commission. To enable this commission, you need to enable the Seller Membership feature app of the Shopify Multivendor Marketplace app. 

After adding this app to your Shopify Multivendor Marketplace, when you create a seller membership plan on the same page you will get an option to enable membership wise commission and input the percentage commission value.

Variant wise Commission:

[Percentage % Commission]

To add Variant wise Commission, follow the process:

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Configuration >> Products Configuration >> Enable Product-wise Commission option.

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Products >> Product Listing >> Edit a Product (under Action column) >> come to Variant Details section >> Edit a Variant (under Action column) >> Here, you will get an option to enter the Commission value >> Submit & Save Changes.

 Product-wise Commission:

[Percentage % or Fixed Commission]

To add a Product-wise Commission, follow the process:

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Configuration >> Products Configuration >> Enable Product-wise Commission option.

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Products >> Product Listing >> Edit a Product (under Action column) >> Here, you will get a Product Commission section, where you need to select the commission type as % or Fixed, Enter the commission value >> Submit & Save Changes.

Collection/Category wise Commission:

[Percentage % Commission, Fixed Commission, % + Fixed Commission, Fixed + % Commission]

Follow the process to add Collection wise Commission:

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Configuration >> Restrictions Configuration >> Restrict Collection >> Save Changes.

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Commission >> Collection Commission Settings >> + Add Category Commission >> Enter Collection name, Commission Type (%, Fixed, % + Fixed, Fixed + %) and Commission Value >> Save.

Seller wise Commission:

[Percentage % Commission, Fixed Commission, % + Fixed Commission, Fixed + % Commission]

Follow the process to add Seller wise Commission:

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Commission >> Seller Commission Settings >> + Add Commission to Seller >> Enter Seller Email, Commission Type (%, Fixed, % + Fixed, Fixed + %) and Commission Value >> Save.

Global Commission:

[Percentage % Commission, Fixed Commission, % + Fixed Commission, Fixed + % Commission]

Global Commission is applicable for every seller/product and has the least priority i.e. if no other commission is enabled then the Global Commission will be applied.

Follow the process to add Global Commission:

Shopify Multivendor Marketplace Admin Panel >> Commission >> Global Commission Settings >> Enter Commission Type (%, Fixed, % + Fixed, Fixed + %) and Commission Value >> Save.
