In Magento2 Reward Points, if the product in the cart belongs to multiple categories then the customer will receive the reward points for the category with the highest reward points value. For example, if a customer's cart carries a product that belongs to men's and women's shoe category.
Admin has set the reward points as 10 for the Women's shoe category and 15 for Men's Shoes category. Now the reward points for the category with the highest value i.e 15 for Men's Shoes will be credited to the customer's account.
